ESPmeter

Introduction

The ESPmeter is a small device (72 x 50 x 28 mm) that connects to a smart electricity meter via its P1 connector. The device provides easy access to information about electricity use and return via a built-in web server. If the gas meter is paired with the electricity meter, then gas use information can be viewed as well. For use in an automated home, the data can be sent to an MQTT broker.

Most DSMR 5 smart meters provide enough power for the device. When used with a DSMR 4 or earlier smart meter, a micro USB power supply is needed.
